Many people wait years before asking for help because alcohol feels normal, life still looks functional from the outside, or they think they should manage alone. Needing support does not mean you've failed. Sometimes the strongest sign of recovery is deciding your future is worth investing in.
Most people think the choice is rehab or willpower. There's a third option almost no-one talks about: medically supervised alcohol detox you do from home. No hospital stay. No clinic waiting rooms. No leave of absence.
Alcohol treatment designed around the life you actually have.
This is Clean Slate. A private UK clinic for medically supervised home detox and 12 months of aftercare, built for people who need real clinical treatment but can't, or won't, put their job, family, or privacy on hold to get it.
Your own clinician. One person who knows you, start to finish.
Detox at home. Prescribed medication if required, daily clinical contact. 7 to 10 days for most people.
12 months of aftercare. SMART Recovery groups, 1:1 support, a clinical team you can reach.
Complete privacy. No workplace records. Only one nominated support person needs to know.

"I felt so much shame picking up the phone. By the end of the call I just felt relieved. Like I'd finally done the thing I'd been avoiding for years."
You can feel the cost of it, in your sleep, your mood, your health, who you've become. You haven't worked out what to do about it yet, but you've stopped pretending the question will go away.
You've tried cutting down. Maybe an app, maybe a Dry January that didn't last. You've looked at AA and it wasn't you. You've looked at rehab and recoiled at the price, the time, the exposure. So you're stuck, not because you lack willpower, but because the obvious options weren't built for someone like you. There's a third option almost no-one talks about: medically supervised alcohol detox you do from home. No hospital stay. No clinic waiting rooms. No leave of absence.
It's how alcohol treatment works when it's designed around the life you actually have.

"I'd been reading about treatment for months but every option felt wrong. AA wasn't me. Rehab wasn't possible with two kids and a job. Finding out there was a third way was the first time it felt possible."
You've made the decision. You've built a life that doesn't revolve around alcohol. You're not here to be convinced, you already know. The question now is how to protect what you've built.
It's a thing you maintain. Most people who reach this stage have done it largely alone, maybe with patchy support that ended too soon. Willpower, a few honest conversations, a programme that finished before the work did. The first 12 months are when relapse risk is highest. The people who stay well are almost always the ones who had proper clinical aftercare, not goodwill and a phone number.
If your recovery has been built on willpower and luck so far, it might be worth a stronger safety net.
This is Clean Slate. A private UK clinic best known for medically supervised home detox. What most people don't realise: we also offer structured aftercare for people already in recovery who want to protect it.
Your own clinician. Someone who knows your story, your triggers, and what early warning signs look like for you.
SMART Recovery groups. Evidence-based group support that isn't AA. No higher power, no labels.
1:1 clinical support when you need it. Not a crisis line. Real continuity of care for the moments most people don't tell anyone about.
Complete privacy. No workplace records. No group settings required. Support that fits into the life you've rebuilt.

Home Detox is unfortunately not suitable if you have a history of alcohol withdrawal seizures.
Important: If you're currently experiencing withdrawal symptoms like shaking, sweating, or confusion, please call 999 or go to A&E immediately.
After detox, we'd welcome you to our Beyond Detox programme, a 6-month alcohol recovery and aftercare programme for people who've already completed a detox (inpatient). It includes a comprehensive clinical assessment, a doctor consultation with anti-craving medication where appropriate, daily online recovery groups, and at-least-fortnightly check-ins with your nominated clinician, all delivered virtually, anywhere in the UK.
